The annual Club versus Club Captains was held on Saturday 8th May

where the Past Captains Side was represented by

twenty-two distinguished members (see picture below).

An excellent lunch was enjoyed by both teams with the wine flowing freely

and the customary large glasses of Kummell!

Many stories of both past and present Captains were enjoyed among the participating

teams. Play eventually began around 2:20 p.m. where there was initial banter but a

more serious tone materialised as the competition got under way.

The tees and handicaps had been negotiated over lunch and though

questioned by many of the participants the match resulted in an

honourable half for both teams.
