Men's Club Matches
The club matches schedule begins at 4.00pm on the 14th April 2011 with a home fixture against Longcliffe. Most of the matches are played by teams of twelve a side, playing four ball better ball matches. For the avoidance of doubt, and benefit of any new members, these are social occasions and any male member of the club with a current CONGU handicap is eligible for selection. Do not think that if you have a high handicap, you cannot represent the club.
All members are welcome to put their names on the ‘match availability sheets’ which are to be found on the main notice board in the gentlemen’s changing area. The match managers will contact those who have volunteered to confirm their availability and the team sheet will be displayed on the main notice board a week or more before the event.
It is customary to have a meal after the match, and if you have special dietary requirements these can usually be catered for, so long as you make it known to the match manager in good time.

Scratch Team
The L&RGU Scratch League comprises 5 Divisions.
The Leicestershire Golf Club is proud to be in Division One along with Birstall, Cosby, Kibworth and Longcliffe Golf Clubs.
Each team consists of 8 players, who play scratch, match play singles against each club on a "Home & Away" basis. Details of all the Leicestershire fixtures are available on the website.Supporters are very welcome.
The golf tends to be of a very high standard and you are unlikely to represent The Leicestershire Golf Club in this Team unless you have a handicap of 2 or better.
Adrian Jones is the current League Team Captain and any member who has aspirations of playing for the club in the League Team should contact Adrian.
