The Under 35 section plays every Monday evening from April through to September. Most competitions are handicap qualifying but members are encouraged to play even if they do not participate in the competition or can only make it for 9 holes. The evenings are very informal and a combatant to that Monday feeling! The tee is booked from 5pm until 6pm, and players can either find a game on arrival or call the Proshop beforehand to arrange a game.
Freshly prepared food is available to order following golf. Monday nights are open to any member of the Club, however over 35's will not qualify for the Under 35 competitions such as the prestigious ‘Richard Miller Trophy’ and ‘Dixon Pickup Trophy’. The U35’s also has a league handicap and scratch team that compete against other U35’s teams across the county which is played in a foursomes format.
The highlight of the calendar is the Under 35 Day Out (open to all members), which this year is being held at Worksop Golf Club on Friday August 24th. The course is regarded as one of the outstanding courses of the area in both difficulty & quality. It has a long tradition of providing the base for world-class golfers including Lee Westwood, Mark Foster, Maurice Bembridge, and David Snell.
