The course itself is a registered England Golf Championship Venue, accompanied by a newly refurbished driving range, dedicated short game area and a large putting green. Being the number 1 ranked course in the Leicestershire area, it provides a wonderfully unique golfing experience. The Leicestershire Golf Club welcome applications for membership of the club. We have thriving Junior, Ladies, and Men’s sections all of which have a few vacancies, and special discounts for those under 39. In order to apply for membership, the normal requirement is that two existing members of the club, who have known the applicant for at least 5 years, are willing to act as sponsors of the applicant. Sponsors have an important role to fulfil in ensuring that the applicant is fully aware of the high standards expected of members of The Leicestershire Golf Club.
As an alternative for those who do not know two current members, we offer a one-year temporary membership providing all the benefits of permanent membership for twelve months. At the end of the probationary period, the applicant’s request for renewal of membership will be considered by the Committee and if suitable, he or she will be allowed to become a full member without the usual introduction from existing members.
